WELCOME to "A Brush with Art"

A Brush with Art is on Again! (2008)

13th September to 6th October 2008 (inclusive)

Keep an eye on the website and an ear on the radio for any more information!

With their geological significance, timelessness and stunning rugged beauty, the Flinders Ranges have long been a favorite destination.  Artists have traveled to the area from other parts of Australia and overseas to draw inspiration for their work, many of them choosing to stay.

Flinders communities have recognized the contribution of art to their local economies and have increasingly supported artists with exhibition opportunities. In 2004, a number of the exhibition organizers came together with a view to establishing an 'Art Trail' in the region and in 2005 it grew into a Spring Arts Festival called 'Flinders Ranges – A Brush with Art'.

Now in its fifth year, and with two new 'major' galleries in Orroroo and Parachilna the Festival is gathering momentum as an exciting event on the South Australian Arts calendar eagerly anticipated by contributing arts practitioners as well as enthusiasts and collectors. The addition of workshops and artists in residence to the Festival this year promise more involvement for those who would like to dabble.
As always we thank our sponsors for their generous support:

Spring brings together a rich kaleidoscope of colour in the Flinders Ranges in nature, on canvas and in a variety of inspired forms to be experienced by our communities and visitors alike.
